Bio




    Mitchell Tousley is an audio engineer, producer, and musician currently based between Glasgow, Scotland, and Salt Lake City, Utah. He grew up just north of New York City, where he first started playing guitar, regularly performing in bands, and exploring music production. In college, Mitchell began seriously recording and producing music for himself and his friends. He graduated from BYU in 2023 with a degree in commercial music and a minor in history, and now has over ten years of professional audio and production experience, including music and sound for film, podcast production, session work, mixing and mastering, music production, and more.

    Mitchell has broad experience and a strong understanding of genres in music, film, and media. His main instrument is the guitar, but he can also play bass, drums, and keys, and compose for a full band or orchestra. While possessing a deep appreciation for all kinds of music, Mitchell has a soft spot for ambient composition techniques, experimental music, post-rock, and alternative hip hop. His specialization in these areas brings unique insights to mainstream projects and helps artists stand out. Mitchell is an avid reader and is always studying history, politics, and art. His background knowledge allows him to understand and contribute meaningfully to any project he works on. Mitchell has worked with all kinds of artists, creatives, and industries, and Kafka Escobar is a safe space for people from all walks of life.
